Official CrossFit Sanctional Event

As an official sanctioned event, the top performing athletes will compete for the ultimate prize, a first place finish and an invite to compete at the CrossFit Games 2019 in Madison, Wisconsin.

The field of Athletes for 2019 is comprised of 80 Male, 80 Female and 40 Teams. The qualifying process for the Down Under Championship will be based on Athlete performance in the 2019 CrossFit Games Open.

Qualification is through the 2019 CrossFit Games Open.

Other than the 2019 CrossFit Games Open there is no seperate online qualifier.

The online competition will start Thursday, February 21st and conclude Monday, March 25th 2019

The week-by-week schedule, confirmed by CrossFit HQ will follow a similar format as years past.

Week 1 – Thursday, Feb. 21st – Monday, Feb. 25th
Week 2 – Thursday, Feb. 28th – Monday, Mar. 4th
Week 3 – Thursday, Mar. 7th – Monday, Mar. 11th
Week 4 – Thursday, Mar. 14h – Monday, Mar. 18th
Week 5 – Thursday, Mar. 21st – Monday, Mar. 25th

No, only 3 of the 4 team members need to place in the top 300 in Australia to qualify.

After the 2019 CrossFit Games Open is complete, there will be a 1 week period for qualifying athletes to register their intention to compete.
